It all started when FSSAI has banned the use of calcium carbide in 2011, under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, for fruit ripening. Everyone was looking for an alternative fruit ripening technology and we have developed a most sustainable and eco-friendly composition which releases ethylene gas, a natural hormone of any fruit which is responsible for ripening.
